Scrabble!
End of September's rolling around, which means it's time for the first fall edition of Scrabble!
When: Sunday, September 28, 3:00 pm
Where: Le Divan Orange, 4234 St-Laurent (corner of Rachel)
What: Scrabble! (I like writing it with an exclamation mark so it feels like I'm shouting it. It's a fun word to shout. Scrabble!)
All levels of player are welcome. Bring your own board if you have one; if not, don't let that discourage you, we have a few spares in both English and French.

Scrabble on Sunday - NEW VENUE!
This Sunday is Scrabble time again, and if this rain lets up it will be outside in the park. (First time this year!) The twist is, it will be a different park - we're going to move to Parc Wilfred-Laurier, which is at Laurier and Mentana. Why the change? Parc Wilfred-Laurier has picnic tables, so hopefully we won't have to sit on the ground.
If it's still raining (boo!) Scrabble will be at Divan Orange, as usual.
Where: If sunny: Parc Wilfred-Laurier; if raining: Divan Orange
When: Sunday, July 27, at 3:00
What: Scrabble! Newcomers of all skill levels are welcome! Play in English or French!
Bring some food and drink and we'll make a picnic out of it! Bring a Scrabble board if you have one, just in case we're overwhelmed with people! Bring something to sit on (blankets, lawn chairs) just in case somebody's stolen the picnic tables! But mainly, bring your love of language!

Scrabble Meetup!
It's 2008 and time to Scrabble yourself silly with your fellow Montrealers.
But I've never been to Scrabble meetup, you say. Why the devil should I come now, you ask?
Well, let's say, hypothetically, that you made a little resolution or two for 2008. And let's say these resolutions went something to the tune of : be more social, learn new things, improve your French or English, spend less time online, bicker with others about spelling and exactly what constitutes a "word", and generally be a more well rounded person while eating nachos, drinking beer and staring at a rack of seven, lettered tiles. Lucky for you, all these things and much, much more can be accomplished at your local Scrabble Meetup!
This month's meetup will be held at our usual winter spot, Divan Orange (4234 St-Laurent, just north of Rachel), at 3pm Sunday afternoon (January 27th).
Remember, players of all levels are welcome, boards come in both French and English (you can even bring your own). Scrabbling is a perfectly fine way to spend a Sunday afternoon.

This Sunday we'll be having Halloween themed Scrabble at Divan Orange!

Why: Because Scrabble is fun!
Come in costume if you wish (your co-host ![[info]](http://l-stat.livejournal.com/img/userinfo.gif) vierge_en_trop and I will be). Any Halloween related words played will score an extra-special bonus. For the first time, "cat" may not be that bad a play!
